Advent Blog-a-long Day #3 - My Creative Space

I've decided to join in the fun over at the Kootoyoo Blog, by doing the My Creative Space feature each Thursday. So this is what is happening at my place this afternoon. I am sitting on the lounge room floor doing some more buttons for the weekends Christmas markets as I am sure these are going to be great stocking fillers. And yes, that is a small child playing in my scraps bucket. Miss M thought it was very funny to be jumping in and out of it : )

More dresses off to . . . MissChief Maker

Just a peak at another lot of 'Gypsy' dresses heading off to MissChief Maker in Canberra tomorrow. There are 16 in total, all complete with cute matching yoyo button clips
And just a few favourites . . . gorgeous stunning fabrics!

Katie will have these both in store and online so pop on out or visit the online store in the coming weeks.
Its been a very busy past few days of sewing in this household, but I am now all caught up on my wholesale and custom orders and ready to tackle my mountain of market sewing to get done for my two upcoming Christmas markets happening on the first weekend of December. Stay tuned for a big madeit store stocking on the night of the 6th December with some fabulous specials for those doing some last minute Christmas shopping!

Blogtoberfest Day #6 ~ Teaching & Quilting

Mum popped over today keen to learn how I make the fabric buttons and help out with market preparations for this Friday nights market I have. Only a 3 hour market from 6-9pm but if we go by the last one that was run in winter, it will be a huge night with a big crowd.
So, I showed mum how to make the buttons and she got busy making badge buttons and small flatbacks ready to turn into bracelets - well done mum!
And while mum was busy doing that and watching Master T while Miss M slept I got busy rag quilting again - very addictive and a fantastic way to use up my fabric scrap stash and those little pieces of batting that I didn't know what to do with. These 3 pretty quilts all measure approx 30 x 30 inches, are backed with pretty flannel, and will be great as pram/travel/comfort quilts. They will be available for purchase at Friday nights market and what doesn't sell I'll pop into my madeit store over the weekend.
